HOLD UP WAIT A MINUTE D-TUBZ SHOWS Y'ALL HOW HE DO IT!

Dallas 'D-Tubz' Halbert, one of our local brothers, a graffiti artist,DJ,Youth worker plus many more talents hidden under his 'spray can' worked his grafitti art magic on my sons' bedroom wall in the weekend with the assistance of one of his youth Satriani.
His artwork spreads across building walls and not too mention the community Te Ora Hou van. He's inspired youths to take up the art of graffiti and show them the true side of that style of art. Graffiti art is NOT tagging, as we unfortunately see sprayed across every concrete building or corrugated fence.
Nevertheless Dallas has worked extremely hard to change the way things are in our community, here in Camberley Hastings. Every little bit helps, help to inspire our young ones, helping families as a whole. This young brother is doing his part and definitely needs to be recognised.
I've posted a few pics of his work that he kindly gave up his weekend time to do and the final product is 'OFF THE WALL' excusing the pun lol.
Much thanks to you bro.
Dallas sketching & sussing out colour placement every good artist always has a sketch

Those colours look awesome especially with the black bold outline around lettering LOVE IT
Final product it looks mean, a digital photo doesnt do it justice have to be here to appreciate the details and colour scheme
The pic of the skater is partially cut off due to a close up shot of the wall but will post pic of skater in full
AWESOME AYE!

Sugarpill and Mac Samples - HYSTERIC,MAGPIE AND MELON!

A great way to try a colour out is by purchasing samples then you know what you're getting and obviously what you're paying for. I purchased a couple of Sugarpill samples and Mac samples months back and decided to do a quick swatch of colours and show pics of them as well.
I thing i like about these pigments is that they have a high-colour intensity and you only need a little bit. Best to apply a little bit because then you can build up the colour. Less is more right? I really love these samples the colours are rich and can do so many looks with them. My digital cameras' temperamental at the moment so haven't been able to chuck a look together to feature these pigments but here are the sampled pigments and swatches.
MAC MELON PIGMENT (sample baggie)
peachy-pink colour
MAC MELON swatch (sorry looks a bit fuzzy)
MAC MELON pigment can be used as a highlight under browbone or highlight on top of cheeks
SUGARPILL HYSTERIC CHROMALUST LOOSESHADOW PIGMENT (sample baggie)
Bright metallic purple with flecks of green and turquoise sparkles
IM A LOVER OF THE COLOUR PURPLE
SUGARPILL HYSTERIC SWATCH
Perfect colour for all over lid, crease & bottom lash line
SUGARPILL MAGPIE CHROMALUST LOOSESHADOW  PIGMENT (sample baggie)
Silky black pigment with metallic blue sheen and beautiful turquoise sparkles
SUGARPILL MAGPIE
beautiful colour for all overlid, crease & lower lashline
colour reminds me of Mac pearlglide eyeliner Fly-by-Blu

Turn my brown eyes blue - quick eye look using MAC blues!!!

I purchased 2 Mac eyeshadows months ago and decided i better use them and see how they look on a medium skin-toned,brown eyed girl. Personally, i don't suit blue eyeshadows it reminds me of that lady from the Drew Carey Show the one that looks like she got crayola banged, no offence to her she was actually one of my fav characters but anyways blues aint my colour.
On the other hand, I didn't want that image to put me off trying my colours out on me so i put together a really quick look and i mean really quick. With 3 special needs boys 5 mins is 5 mins so time is of the essence. I used only 2 Mac e/s in this look and will include everything else i used i mainly have e/s palettes as opposed to single e/s pots. I'll show pics of the products, brushes i used and the after pics when done. Keep in mind, when viewing the photos i didnt apply undereye concealer, foundation, or fill in my brows, its purely just showing you the blue e/s colours on my eyes with a touch of eyeliner and mascara.
By the way my eye shape is: Hooded eyes/droopy eyelid and double crease. Sounds complicated, yep it is unfortunately i wasnt blessed with the perfect eyebrows or eyelids but gotta make the most with what you have. Its actually quite hard for me to pull eyeshadow looks off with my eye shape you gotta get the colour placement right or else it'll look silly as. Practice makes perfect i guess. Here we go!
This is the finished look using Mac blue eyeshadows
NB: My eye doesnt look like this normally when opened(you'll see a pic at end of post of my actual eye open)
I decided to pull my eyelid up so that you can see the colour blended out toward brow bone for all those ladies with hooded/droopy eyes

Brushed i used for this look
 (from left)
Ecotools medium sized blending brush - used to blending crease colours together
Imei Large Eyeshading brush (dense with rounded top) - used for highlight
Imei Blending brush ( similar tip to Mac 217 but flat) - used to apply upper crease colour
Artiste Manicure Small Shadow brush - all over lid colour
Artiste Manicure Rounded Smudge brush - crease colour
Imei Angled eyeliner/brow brush  - line upper lashline and waterline
NYX Eyeshadow base in Skin Tone

NYX Eyeshadow Base in Skin Tone (this primer is perfect shade for my eyes)
Apply this all over lid right up to your brow bone and along bottom lashline

MAC Eyeshadows
(left) DEEP TRUTH (Frost) (right) Freshwater ( Veluxe Pearl)
1. Apply Freshwater all over lid and up to your crease, pack the colour on if you want a more intense lid.
NB: Everyones crease on their eyes will differ due to different eyeshapes adjust to your own. I have no visible crease so to see the colour i have to bring the colour up a little past where my crease should be.
2. Using blending brush, apply Deep truth to your crease and blend properly and little bit toward your brow.
NB: for hooded eyes/small eyes(eyes which have little eyelid space) blend colour out towards corner of eyebrow so eyes don't appear more hooded than they already are.
3. Using Imei mini blending brush (black domed tip), apply Deep truth along lower lashline starting from corner of eye and coming about 3/4 way in. If you want, use matte black e/s and repeat same process over where you applied Deep truth to really darken the lower lashline, blend it out subtly.

Coastal Scents 78 e/s & blush combo palette
1. Blending colour - medium beige colour with slight shimmer (middle column, 2nd down & in)
NB: blending colour was used to blend freshwater and deep truth together in between eyelid & crease. This helps blend out harsh lines
2. Highlight colour - light beige colour with slight shimmer ( middle column, top right)

(left)  Coastal Scents Gel liner in black
1. Line your upper lash line/waterline with gel liner
Rimmel London Sexy Curves Mascara in black
1. Apply couple of coats of mascara( as many as you want) and curl lashes. If you want go ahead and apply couple of coats to lower lashes too
Final pic of all products i used for this look

 My hooded/droopy eyelid
As you can see, my eyelid droops over my lid just leaving a bit in the corner by bridge of my nose and my crease seems to be neither here or there lol. For me, colour placement is crucial i'm still trying to find a good technique that'll work, i'll get there
Mac 'turn my brown eyes blue' look
Mac Deep Truth (upper crease & blended slightly down towards outer V)
Mac Freshwater all over lid
NB: notice the double crease

Thanks for stopping by!!

CLARINS SAMPLES

(from left) Cleansing Milk with Alpine Herbs (middle) Toning Lotion with Camomile (right) Gentle Refiner
(left) Multi-Active Day Early Wrinkle Correction cream (right) Multi-Active Skin Renewal Serum
HYDRAQUENCH RANGE (left) Hydraquench Lotion (middle) Hydraquench cooling cream-gel (right) Hydraquench Intensive Serum Bi-phase (for dehydrated skin)
As stated in my previous post, im trialing these clarins products out but so far i've felt a slight difference in my lines softening, my skin looks less 'red & irritated' and has a more calmer look to it.NB: i haven't been using these products long enough to show you before and after pics(maybe when i've given it a few weeks i'll be able to do a more in-depth review). On the other hand, just feeling my skin 'breathe' was really refreshing.
The Hydraquench range i used because its summer and its quite hot out so the lotion was able to give me hydration but not too much during a hot day that i end up with an oil slick face lol. The cooling cream-gel suits all skin types but i prefer the lotion as my skin is more dry. The intensive serum is a treatment if you want that
extra hydration in the meantime revitalising your skin. Its beautiful to use but only need a little bit.
Again, i absolutely love, love clarins products at the moment and will stick with this(fingers crossed) for a while yet. In a few weeks will post in-depth reviews and also my skincare routine for morning, night and when i do my extra treatments for my face. Thanks for reading.
Peacexs

CLARINS: My latest skincare craze

I've been watching alot of reviews over past few weeks about Clarins products. From their skincare range to their makeup and i thought well, lets give it a go.My clarins consultant kindly gave me samples to use suited for my skin type which is Dry/combination leaning mainly towards dry.
The products recommended for my skin type and best suited for my needs were spot on. I got given a few samples of the following:
Cleansing Milk with Alpine herbs (Normal to dry skin)

Toning Lotion with Camomile (Normal to dry skin)

Gentle Refiner (creamy exfoliator)
Multi-Active Day - Early Wrinkle correction cream ( Dry skin)

Multi-Active Night Youth Recovery comfort cream ( Normal to Dry skin)
Clarins Eye Contour Balm (All skin types) Softens fine lines
Defining Eye Lift - reduces puffiness

Multi-Active Skin Renewal Serum (All skin types)

Truly Matte Pore Minimising Serum (for those nasty pores)

I absolutely love these Clarins products so far. The smell is amazing like flowers you just wanna eat it lol.
Im definitely going to be sticking with this range for some time( i know i've said that every other time) but i
love the products. The Gentle Refiner is gorgeous. A creamy exfoliator in my opinion, it has 2 types of microbeads one to exfoliate but the other to purify your skin. Indeed it does, i couldnt really feel the beads it didnt feel grainy like other exfoliators i've tried. Im in love with this exfoliator at the moment.LOVE IT!!! Im yet to still try my pore minimising serum but i know it will work wonder for those nasty critters that just won't go away lol. The eye contour balm and defining lift feels great when applied and you can immediately feel the product working i love it for my dark circles and it truly does softens those lines, they don't look so harsh.LOVE IT!!!
Note, the pictures of the clarins products arent of my own products as my digital decided not to be nice to me but will post my own photos of my entire Clarins range.
Peace xs

ABDC Afroborike 'Beautiful Liar'

One of my favourite performances from Afroborike dancing to Shakera & Beyonces' Beautiful Liar'

Let me hear you say 'AFROBORIKE'!!!

Afroborike....gosh this crew was awsum. Runnersup in ABDC Season 4 competing with We Are Heroes. Both groups were deserving and having a spot in the finals. I loved Afroborike from week 1. They had talent, grace and just incorporated their style into their weekly challenges. I loved all their performances especially doing Britney Spears 'I'm a slave to u'. WTH when their girl came in the end with a real snake and
she was terrified of snakes but thats what i mean they brought it. Best crew,in my opinion, to ever dance on stage. The guys were awsum to watch and the girls are absolutely beautiful and proud to represent their country. Not too mention very humble. Luv dem!!!

IM SO IN LUV WITH.....

Yay, it finally arrived and im so glad i was able to get one....yes i know whats the big buzz you say? I say woop woop my
Sigma F80 Flat top Kabuki brush has finally arrived in my anxious little fingers lol. I've been wanting this brush for the
longest time and one lucky day last week while surfing Trademe i stumbled across it and had to get it.Do you know how
many trips to the mailbox i made in one week? ALOT!!!
I only learnt about the Sigma brush from watching one of my fav youtube m/u gurus Sonia Castaneda and excitedly jumped on trademe in search of 'the brush'.
Wow, its so soft and glides across the skin when applying my liquid foundation. I only need a little bit of product and the
easy use of the brush and the softness of the bristles makes applying foundation a very relaxing experience and best part
of all NO STREAKY foundation marks.LOVE IT!!!
I absolutely love the short dense bristles but just can't get over the softness of the brush and for my skin type it suits perfectly.
Im so in love with this brush im going to be using this for a very long,long....long time!!!

Australis Nail Enamel

(left) Aqua (right) Rub-a-dub-dub
Australis Nail Enamel i bought couple of weeks ago.In my opinion it says streak free and its true to a certain
poing but in my opinion its not long-lasting. I do like the range of colours Australis has in their nail enamel for the price its not too bad. Honestly, id like a nail polish thats gonna withstand lots and lots and lots of washing dishes and gardening lol.

Rhianna Inspired 'Love the Way You Lie' smokey eyes

I did this rhianna inspired smokey eye which is similar to another pic i posted last year. I used Mac Pigments Deep purple and Burnt burgundy and a matte black e/s from 88 palette. Different shots i took with my digital gave my eyes different colour depth. My other pic made my eyes look black smokey rather than deep purple smokey. Anyways it turned out pretty good esp for my eye type( Hooded/droopy eyes)

My black and yellow smokey eye

I created this look last year using matte colours from my 88 palette. I've annoyingly got
hooded eyes but one eyelid is droopy so its extra hard but alas came up with this look. I dunno but pictures looks like im a geisha such white skin. Iz in my bathroom and it gets
so much light.

Me and our dog papa Crunchie
